Re: alternate fuel tank

Thanks for the info. I just found a nearby dealer for Moeller products. There are a number of products that should meet my needs.

Re: alternate fuel tank

Hi Andreas, Thanks for your reply. Did you use a rubber fill hose from the foredeck fitting to the "top" of the tank? Do you have a "readable" fuel gauge on your dash? Is there a reason to run the fuel line in copper as opposed to rubber from the tank to the engine? I'll have to ...

alternate fuel tank

I have to post this to LancerBoy "cause noone else is here. I first came to this site in 2013 as the new owner of a 62 Sealancer. I got some great info about "eye brows" and Kirby Paint(yellow). It's really sad to see the collapse of this community. Welcome to the digital desert of &q...

Painting Plastic Barrels

Hi Folks, So, I got this great idea to build a floating dock extension for my fixed dock. I need the space for my new (to me) Sealancer. Building it is the simple part. I decided to use 30 gallon plastic barrels for floatation because they are readily available and way cheaper than commercial "...

Re: Filler

Hi folks, Time to change the direction of this thread. The hull has been sanded, "filled" and finish sanded. The KIRBY lemonade is ready to rejuvenate my Sealancer to it's original splendor. Thread drift begins now. I've picked out a name for my boat. I understand there are people who don'...

Filler

Hi folks, I recently bought a 1962 Sealancer that the previous owner did a really nice restoration on. I'm getting ready to transform the white hull color to the original and "correct" Lemonade. A friend of mine has told me that I should show the boat just because it will turn heads. He ha...

Re: Rust in metal gas can

In addition to or instead of the above mentioned abrasive components(ie: pennies, lead shot etc.) I can suggest 4 or 5 feet of fixture chain. It's readily available, inexpensive and can be reused many times for other projects. Hope this is helpful

Re: "Sea Lancer" Emblem & Dash "Eye Brow"

Greetings, I'm a new member in this organization ( yesterday, in fact). I recently bought a 1962 Sealancer. It has a Peshtigo tag with a hull #22539. It has the "eyebrows" and dash medallion. The current power plant is a 1962 75 HP Johnson. The previous owner did an extensive restoration o...
