Revarnishing Mahogany
After owning the boat for 3 years, it is time for me to revarnish the mahogany on my Offshore. As usual, I have a few questions ... !. Is it always necessary to sand down to bare wood? 2. If not, how can you tell? 3. Is it possible to get a decent finish working outside (my boat will not fit in my g...

Thanks Phill, good advice. I knew, in the back of my mind, that any corrosion was bad. I think I was trying to justify my laziness - not getting off my butt and getting the new bearings. You are absolutely correct regarding $25 being cheap insurance against a miserable day at the side of a busy road...

This time around, I am using ...

Hey Jim - thanks for the help. I think I've got it working. My boat is a '57 18' Offshore - that's the northern end of Lk Washington it is floating on. http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/447/offshore3xt.jpg I appreciate your help. Are you making those license plates up? How do you get that image rig...

I am trying to post a photo and have tried to follow the instructions in the FAQ section, but can't seem to make it work. Is this a computer bozo issue or a Mac issue? I am a computer bozo using a Mac, so it could be both!
