THanks for the great replies. I will do this on the band saw by tilting the table as I go. Should take some time but will be worth it. Better than a bunch of wood puddy in all the rotted areas. Thanks Again. Ron P

Thanks everyone who answered my question here. I Think i will be able to do this.Looked over Don Danebergs book also. I think i will make his set up...... Steaming wood for ribs and trim.

Anybody out there have any luck steaming wood. I am replacing the trim that goes around the gunnels. The piece that the rubber molding goes over. All I have is this picture so far!!! It looks like they are heating water in a metal box directly.. With the wood in the water. I have seen other set ups ...

Blue paint color for Thompson logo.

I just pulled out my Pantone Matching System color book and matched the color on my boat.. The number that is the closest is... Pantone 306 ! That color is one shade lighter than straight Process Blue. Any good paint store will have this book...I am a printer that mixes ink everyday.... Ron P

John The boat is a 1961 Cruisers Inc. 202. It was my first wood boat project thatI did in summer of 2000. The motor is a 1960 75 hp.(ran great) The boat was apart and stripped of varnish. So it was up to me to get it all back together. Boy did I work fast and quick on that one! Maybe 2 months workin...
