Fixture to hold boat while flipped
I just built this fixture to hold the 62 Cruiser Inc upside-down while I strip the paint off (sorry, its a little blurry): http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/fastsuv/62%20Cruiser%20Inc/UpsideDown1640x480.jpg The 2x6 cross pieces are cut out to hold the gunnels from spreading or squeezing togeth...

Outer Keel/Stem joint
I have posted previously a picture of my current outer stem/outer keel joint, which is a butt joint with a hole through it (1962 Cruiser Inc 202). I am replacing both the outer stem and outer keel. How should I join the pieces? A butt joint with sealer between the two pieces? A scarf joint? Thanks S...

Outer Keel laminating
I will be replacing the two outer keel pieces on my 62 Cruiser inc. The long piece that runs back to the transom is straight, but the front piece that runs up the bow will have to be laminated. The piece is 1 1/4" thick. I'll be using white oak. See the picture below: http://i155.photobucket.co...

Varnish or paint in bilge
Hello! I just joined this forum after Andreas informed me of its existence on another forum. Thank You immensely, Andreas, for pointing me here. I was looking for a Cruiser Inc forum for a long time but never thought of Thompson. I am in the middle of renovating a 1962 Cruiser Inc 202 and a 1962 Kie...
