Re: Outer keel and stem replacement
Jason,
Could you post some photos of what things look like now. I will need to make the same repair to my Sea Coaster and I'd like to see what to expect before I take it apart.

Re: Peshtigo on Christmas Eve
The roof and the walls appear to be solid. You'd be surprised how easily that building could be brought back to use.

Where is a will, there is a way. A subsidiary of another museum might be worth a try. Perhaps the Mariners Museum? Or even the Smithsonian.

Re: Peshtigo on Christmas Eve
Imagine someone buying that building and turning it into a Thompson Boat museum? What a fitting place.

I saw that the wheel was an option in the Gator catalog. I guess it wasn't designed that well.....

Not sure what you mean by a death trap. I"d think it would be great for moving the trailer around with out lifting it.

Beautiful job Pete! Your trailer looks just like mine. How did you add that tongue wheel? Mine could certainly use one.

Re: Windshield 1959 Sea Lancer
Nope. I have a 1960 Sea Coaster and the windshield frame is all wood. Non fold-out. A fold-out might have been an option? dunno.EDsBoat wrote:Is the windshield on the 1960 Sea Coaster the same as the 1959 Sea Lancer? Aluminum swing out.

PS: Ed, did you go to the Mt Dora boat show? How about some photos?

Andreas,
Walk around the property on your lunch break and see if you can find a handful of saw dust to save in a jar. A neat piece of history to preserve.

I love the engine-nu-i-ty! I hope I never have to do it, but now I know how. Very cool! (I mean HOT)
