removing floor frame

I am trying to remove the floor frame from my 1958 sea lancer and am having some trouble. There appears to be some screws coming from some of the ribs into the frame. I tried removing some of the screws from the bottom of the hull to see if they go thru the ribs into the frame but they are not long ...

transom bow due to large outboard

My 1958 Sea Lancer came with a 110hp motor that was installed on the boat in the seventies. The top outer board of the transom has a little outward bow, I presume due to the size of the motor. I am trying to decide what to do about this (other than repair the transom which I will do in any case). On...

Sea Lancer bottom restoration

I am in the process of restoring a 1958 Sea Lancer and am working on the bottom of the hull. There is a little delamination that I can see on the inside of the large bottom planks and I am trying to decide wether to replace them or not. How much delamination is too much? How hard is it to get these ...

steering wheel stuck

I may just end up leaving mine on as well. I have been spraying it with oil for over a week and it's not budging. Jim

supporting turned over boat

I will be flipping my sea lancer over to work on the bottom soon and wondering what part of the boat should the supports holding the boat up should be against? Multiple frames? The inner keel? The gunwales? Thanks for your help, Jim

steering wheel removal

I am in the process of taking apart a 1958 sea lancer so that I can restore it. I am having trouble getting the steering wheel off. I have removed what I assumed was a retaining nut from the front of the wheel but it won't budge. Any suggestions? Am I missing something? Thanks, Jim
