Rubber Rub Rail.
The best time to do this is on a very HOT day !! I did this last fall. I used a air brad nail gun. Get some strong buddy's to come over and pull/strech the rubrail as you attach it.Find the middle of your new stuff and tack this at the bow. Have one guy hold and pull to the portside. I have owned boats that had individual plastic numbers and letters. Back in the 50's it was also a popular thing to do. Most marina's had these in stock. Each digit was attached with two small nails. Very cool that you are taking this boat apart in this way. I am interested in the repair of the ribs. When splicing will have to be done to the ends at the keelson etc. I have found that the ribs at the turn of the bilge have hidden rot on the backside.
