Thanks for the info....I added a 3/4 piece to the center and put the old deck pieces on top temp. to check the crown...looks much better...I can add shims to fill in to stiffen up the rest...Whats the best way to secure the new decks?...liquid nails and screws or?....the original decks had 1 inch br...

camber in decks

My latest project is a 62 grady white wich closely resembeles the thompson and crusiers inc...the problem is the decks are almost flat...looks kind of dorky...is there a way to help this out without cutting new braces?

Hey there cappy...it sure looked like the same motor I have...mine is a manual shift model..those electric shift models used a special gear lube....type c or something...this might solve your problem...?

Getting near ready to paint a sea coster ...never tried kirby paint..but I am readt to try a really good oil base product...talked with george at kirby and he had in stock a dull black which is what I have been unable to find...also for the sides I am leaning toward semi-gloss over gloss...any obser...

It looks like the max fill is going to be about one-half inch deep and about 3 feet long....Do you remember the name of the filler that you used on your bottom?

fairing a sea coaster bottom

I have a sea coaster in which the bottom has deformed due to improper trailer adjustment this makes the boat ride bow down..structure is fine I was wondering what to use to fair and straighten the bottom and what to use to fill the screw holes that are loosing their putty?
