Twin engines.

I currently have a 40hp Johnson Seahorse on my 61 Sea Coaster. I can get my boat out of the water ok with 2 adults. With a little tilt adjustment, and everyone leaning forward I can get 4 adults up. My top speed is 23 mph. Anyway I am kicking around the idea of putting another 40 Johnson on the back...

Sometime its nice to have varience in your colors of wood. It is what sets us apart from the fiberglass or paint crowd. In fact thats probably why it was painted in the first place. Once you varnish it all it could look really stunning and quite unique. I like the look of a strip canoe with differen...

Another idea I had was to again use a solvent but do you think you could scrub it out with a heavy nylon bristle brush? You may have to put on a lot of solvent to get it to loosen up. Just a thought...Dan

Well I'll look into how to remove the paint but if your deck is a plywood veneer you have to be very careful, I would recommend doing it by hand. If you use a power sander of any sort you'll be sorry before you can say "I didn't mean too." The other guys may have another idea but i've hear...

You may want to contact one of the members that goes by treelineIII. His name is Eric. We got together and discussed these bending methods. I remember him telling me there is a very specific temp. that you want to hit. too cold or too hot will not give you the desired results. If you can't reach him...

Is there a chance we could see the sag problem? Hard to come up with solution otherwise. She looks pretty cool. I also think it will be hard to get a fair value price in todays market. E-bay has a lot of Thompsons coming through lately and I don't think anyone is getting the numbers they want... Dan

You know I bend a lot of conduit for my jobs with a pipe bender (Available at most hardware stores). If you could lay your hands on the 1/2" aluminum pipe I'm sure you could bend your own. The fittings for these bows I have seen in West Marine stores or Overtons. Shove those in and crimp. Might...

I've been catching up on the news around here when I saw this one. I too believe that this off white/or tan color is original. It is the same look and color as W guy. I gave it a good scrup and it took a substantial part of the grime away. I decided at this point to leave alone and laid some outdoor...

Dave, I have a '61 Sea Coaster with the original canvas. If there is something a can do to help by providing dimensions or what not feel free to contact me. I only have the canvas that goes over the top of the cockpit area. I do not have sides or a back piece. They were provided by the company as op...

Battery Connections

I have been adding things to my Sea Coaster that need battery connections, like trolling motor, bilge pump, running lights, and motor. There has to be a cleaner way of doing this without stacking up all these wires on the batt. terminals. What should I be doing...Dan
