Is there an easy, safe way to take my 17' wooden boat off its trailer other than in the water? I'd like to do some work on the trailer including a conversion from rollers to bunks.

After a long, cold, snowy winter in Wisconsin, the Flying Scott finally came alive with the help of Dick Davis of Arizona. It's common practice for owners of larger, inboard boats to name their vessels and paint the name on the transom. Does anyone name their runabout or utility boats fitted with outboard motors? If so, where do you put the name? Or, is it a silly idea to begin with?
