Looking for replacement metallic decals

Post by Tim Bromund »

I have a fiberglass 1986 Thompson 252 Hardtop and the Thompson decals that are on the post and starboard aft corners are pretty beat up. I'd like to replace em if possible. They are a metallic/foil sticker with black text/outline.

This is a pic of one in decent shape from a different boat of that vintage

If anyone has any leads on getting some, maybe a former Thompson Dealer that might have em collecting dust in a storeroom somewhere, that would be tremendously appreciated.

here's my boat:

Thompson Boat ceased using that particular logo circa 1988, so you might have a difficult time find some decals.

Try Kendor Marine in South Milwaukee, WI on Ryan Road west of I-94.

I think they are the same as www.greatlakesskipper.com

Tim Take a good square on digital shot of logo to a good local sign shop take does vinyl stickers and they can enter your shot in their computer and replicate that decal. most good shops have metalic materials. I have had several things like this made for about 20.00.
Good luck

OK thanks, that's pretty much what I figured. I'll try the local sign shop route.
