Hi and welcome aboard!

I have a 1937 Thompson Sea Gull cabin 18 ft. sailboat. It is a basket case. I can stick my finger thru the transom! But all parts and hardware are there. It is in storage and is down on the list of my boats to restore.

There are very few known Thompson sailboats that exist. There is a Snipe in a museum in Indiana. Two Thomspon Snipes have been found recently on the East Coast. The Thompson family in Cortland, NY area has a Thompson sailboat.

John Rose, the wooden Snipe sailboat guru lives in Washington state.

I'd love to see pictures your boats.

Fun to see another Thompson sailboat.

The Sea Gull was also a W F Crosby design. Many boat builders made them. Mine is sitting in storage at Peshtigo, WI, right across the alley from where it was built!

You should bring your Red Head to the sixth THOMPSON ANTIQUE & CLASSIC BOAT RALLY. It is held 8-10 August 2008 at Nestegg Marine in Marinette, WI. It would be a great additon!
