The catalog says they are built the same the Family Rowboat depth amid is 14" and the Livery Rowboat depth amid is 15". Can someone explain? Thanks

One is deeper than the other.

Same lapstrake construction and the other dimensions are the same, just one is 1" deeper than the other. Of course they'd have to have a separate form for each which to me sounds goofy in that there was only that slight difference in depth.

Just a thought, but you think that the Livery boat simpley had heaver (deeper) and more substantial gunnels? This to better withstand the expected abuse of rental service. This might explain the slight increase in depth with an otherwise identical hull.
