It has already been a month since the Thompson Boat Rally. I'd like to second Bill Dunn's comments on the boat rally, it was a wonderful experience. Many "Thanks" to Andreas, Nest Egg Marine, Bill & Mary and to all those that showed up to make the event happen. I completed my 63 Sea Lancer Deluxe about 5 years ago and I have wanted to attend event and could never make my schedule work. So this year I made the trek from Ohio and I was not disappointed. The Rally had a broad sampling of lovely boats, a nice group of friendly people and good weather. If you want to talk boats, motors and all things related, this is a don't miss event.

If you've never been to the Rally and want to bring a boat, they have a good sized secure area for shore-side display. This allows you to mingle with your fellow boaters and get an up close view of the boats and engines. If you prefer, you can launch your boat and it will be secured on a bulkhead next to the static display. We had a fun evening out in a restaurant in downtown Menominee after the first full day and the last day we finished with a picnic style meal after the in water parade. In addition to our leader Andreas, their is a very dedicated group of "Thompson" devotees that will make your trip a worthwhile. I hope to do it again in 2017.

All the best and "Thank You" again,
Chuck Drumm
