Andreas health report

I beat the cancer! Had surgery on 08 April 2015 to scoop out the malignant melanoma. Follow up meeting with doc last week and he is happy with the wound healing. He reports cancer is all gone! woo hoo. But Loki had other plans for me. I now have a little case of pneumonia. So I have a very sore back and itchy stitches and I can't breath. Ugh.

I will get better!

C-ya at the Thompson Boat Rally on 26-27 June 2015 in Marinette, WI.

Congrats on the cancer Andreas. Now keep coughing and get rid of that stuff in your lungs.

Glad to hear the good report. Hopefully we will get some warm weather up here to stay so you can get out in the sun and bake out the cough. I got my packet today and will get it back to you very soon.

The pneumonia is just miserable. Finished the antibiotics but I still feel like a monkey sitting on my chest. And the coughing. I am pretty certain I pulled a muscle in my side from a coughing spell...

Stitches from cancer surgery come out in 4 days!

Stitches have been removed. Wound is healing nicely. It itches. I am cancer free !

Coughing from the pneumonia continues. Ugh. And I get tired easily. But I am a zillion times better than before.

Hey Andreas - haven’t been o the site in a long time and just seeing that you had some health challenges. Glad to hear you beat down the cancer! Pneumonia takes forever to fully clear up (this from experience with my mom and siblings). But you will get there and feel like your old (young?) self....

Best wishes!
Pete

One year cancer free!

I see the surgeon in a week or so to follow up. I have been seeing the surgeon AND the cancer doc every three months for the past year. Have had a few scares and a number of biopsies done, but NO new cancer.

I had to have another biopsy today to check for new cancer. I am not a happy camper. It probably isn't cancer but it still stinks.
