20 HP for upper cutter head and 15 HP for lower cutter head according to the original specs. 5 HP feed motor and 1/2 HP power rise motor. Weight of 12,500 pounds. My big Buss planer opens 59 inches wide x 14 1/4" high. Had an opportunity to purchase a larger one at a recent auction but it went higher than my budget allowed. It's opening is 59" x 16". Buss Machine Works was located in Holland, Michigan.

One of my competitors had a Buss double sided planer that opened up 90 inches wide x 24 inches high. Wish I had that puppy.
