Boat History presentation in WI

Post by a j r »

I am speaking at the Wisconsin Historical Society Museum in Madision, WI on Tuesday 20 June 2006 on "Wisconsin Pleasure Boat Builders of the 20th Century." The illustrated talk will run from 12:15 to 1:00 PM.

The location is right next to the state capital building on the corner of State Street and Carroll Street, 30 North Carroll Street. There is a suggested $2.00 donation for attendees.

I will cover the major builders of pleasure boats and of course Thompson et.al. will be included. A great deal of the focus will be on the post World War II recreational boom of which boating was a huge part.

Mark your calendars and come and join in the fun!
