Original or redo?

Post by Busted Knuckles »

The 1968 Thomboy that I have appears to be all original minus engine. The hull paint is in great condition looks original with a few cracked spots at the bungs where the paint has come off. I'd say 99 % of all the paint is there. Should I simply spot repair and keep the original paint or should I sand ,repair and repaint the entire hull? The basket weave material is also all there and in good shape, there is 1 rot spot n the fordeck plywood . When I repair the fordeck should I replace the basket weave or reinstall it? Thanks for any help.
