removing planks

Post by jim »

I have taken off the two large bottom planks from my 1957 sea lancer in the process of replacing them (due to some rot) In the process the adjacent planks were damaged at the lap where the bedding compound pulled wood away when separating them. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove without this happening?
Thanks, Jim

A hack saw blade( can be used backward), a little heat and time.

How about some anti-bond http://www.boatersworld.com/product/376970950msk.htm

Has anybody tried it? There's one that supposedly works great for 5200 but I don't remember the name right now.
