1952 TVT flip

Post by BANKERTVT »

Hiya - anyone have some insight to flipping over my TVT 12-46 on the trailer or another sturdy surface for a restore? Is this a fairly safe/common practice or will it distort the boat in any way.

Just get a couple of friends over and flip it by hand. The boat probably weighs about one hundred fifty pounds. I've flipped 14 ft. Thompson TVT boats all by my self.

If you have to brace it, do it. No big deal

fliping over boat

Once it is over I use jack stands with wood cross beams to hold my 1948 runabout up off the shop floor......
