Got a small start

Post by 240sxguy »

I removed the splash well from the back of the boat last night. Bronze screws must have been cheaper back in the day, I swear I removed 30. They were all in great shape so I plan to reuse them. I am going to replace all the ply pieces in the splashwell though. It looks a bit ratty and I am sure Ill end up with enough scrap after redoing the deck to replace it.

Small step, but a step!

My outboard is finally reassembled and sitting on its stand in the corner. I installed a mariner trim and tilt setup on my old merc 900. Modern amenities should make it a bit more reliable.

Tilt & Trim

Post by JALL »

Is it possible to hook up electric tilt & trim to a set of 1957 Johnson 35HP. That would be twin motors on the transom. Thanks

I don't see why not. You will have to do some research regarding parts etc.. but I am sure it's available. I am not sure how it would work having to trim out two different motors... but it's been done before.
