Ideas on Cleaning Brass Fastners

Post by peteburrs »

I am wondering if anyone has found something to clean the brass nuts and bolts that have oxidized and tarnished. And of course I want to be sure it will not harm the raw wood. Thanks for any assistance!

I would be carefull using anything liquid as it may wick into the raw wood and bleach it or cause finish failure later on. I would use a bronze bristle brush available at most hardware stores.
