Using Adaptive LEDs in Vintage Bow and Stern Lights?

Post by 59Thompson »

Does anyone have any experience with and sources for, modern LEDs they have used in vintage navigation lights. My 59 vintage Attwood bow and stern/all-around light use conventional bulbs, but I'm thinking I might like to switch as my '62 Gale 40HP Sovereign motor does not have an alternator and they would draw much less current. Not a big deal but thought it might be nice to upgrade. Thanks for any advice. Regards, John

Try looking into LED's from a automotive source.
I know that they make LED stop lights that retro fit on vintage cars. You can find them on e-bay and they are designed for a 12 volt system.
