Well my steering wheel disintegrated on me today. Plastic just broke off at the center. Anyone know where I get my hands on one? Not sure how the steering wheel changed over the years or between boat models that year. Not looking for a perfect one, but would like a decent one to keep it original. I will try and post a picture of my existing steering wheel for reference Thanks for the suggestions!

To my knowledge many of these steering wheels were dealer installed so there is a wide array of styles.
I would keep watch on places like E-bay or craigs list or Fiberclassics web site.

Also depending on what happened to your wheel it may be fixable. I just restored the steering wheel on my daughters 1960 Chevy at home and it looks great.
Post pics if you can.

By the early to mid 1960s, the boats made by Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. at Peshtigo had factory installed steering wheel.

In the 1965 model Off-Shore, the steering wheel was "M-2793 Aqua Marine". same wheel was utilized on the Sea Lancer and Sea Lane models. I assume "Aqua Marine" was the manufacturer's name.

I don't know if this was the same for 1967 model year boats, but it might be the same.

When I restored my 1962/63 era Thompson Sea Lancer I ended up buying some spare items from a guy parting out a boat. I think in my stash I have a spare steering wheel. I'll look tonight.

I heard two reports of a "Thompson" steering wheel selling at the recent Antique Outboard Motor Club Nationals in Tomahawk, WI.
