Dumpster Diving

Post by txcaptdan »

I went diving last week! A huge church here in town ripped out an old organ, probably 40 years old and they filled a roll off dumpster with old mahogany. I got several pieces 3/4" by 12" x 6 foot, and a lot of plank sizes. I could not believe that they did not try and recycle any of it. Called a couple friends who came out and took some also.
I filled truck several times before they hauled off dumpster....

Only problem I see with this is that a Great Old Pipe Organ was trashed. Almost as bad as someone putting a wood boat on the burn pile.

But I'm glad you were able to salvage the lumber at least for reuse.
