Building 5,000 boats annually at the Peshtigo plant was typical. Their peak year they built 8,000 boats! That averages to 30 boats per day! Staggering. The Cortland plant never had the numbers of Peshtigo, but they did make 4,000 one year.

Stripped and sanded back seat boards yesterday. Spent next 4 hours installing all seats and backs. Windshield frame is only remaining part not stripped and sanded. Plan on installing new deck and starting staining process this weekend. Yippe ki yea!

Fastened new deck halves and haves edges close to faired. Started fastening with #4 3/4in brass screws...when pulling down enough so they could be filled, many would twist off. I was slow by hand. Fastened remaining with #6 3/4in stainless. Started by hand, finished by drill. Filled, sanded, looks great! Plan on replacing others with stainless when store opens tomorrow...onward through the fog.

Fan came from the Spurger, Tx high school gym, i think 1934. Friend bought at school auction for $10! Just replaced motor last year, could not find bushings.
