I am looking for a bow eye for the front of my 1965 CI 570 Seacamper. The original was broken off at one point and I need another--any help??

It looks like the lifting ring on front deck

Dan,

The place that does my outboard work has a 1960-something Cruisers that they scavange for parts. Is the bow eye common to other Cruisers models and years? If so, I'll wander by and take a look sometime.

I got this off of a 62 Cruisers commander 18 ft. Is this what you need?

Ron,
That is the lifting ring, I am looking for eye that you hook winch to to pull on trailer. The head of that might work if it will come off iron pipe.
These units had that piece running vertical and a threaded rod running horizontal to the bow eye. I am looking for bow eye. Do your parts include that eye?
Thanks Dan

Bow Eye.

Sorry :( Don't have that part here... I wish I had pulled it off for you but That boat I Launched in the Landfill........in 1999. My Father and I Laughed so hard as 2 huge Catapiller front endloader trucks raced to smash to bits......

Thanks Ron for looking. I got it apart today and eye does attach to all thread going to lifting ring base. The eye is a smaller eye than that lifting ring or ski tows.

I am still in need of this part if anyone has one

Dan,

Give Retzlaff Marine a call at 262-567-3228. That's the place with the old Cruisers sitting in their lot. If they won't ship it to you, let me know. I will arrange something. Give my name (Jim Pfefferle) if you need to, they should know me from all the checks I write them.

Here is shot of bow ring i am looking for the part that threaded rod threads into is brocken off ring. The nut on threaded rod is a 3/4" nut. I did call boat place but they claimed they had junked all their wooden boats.
I can get a generic bow eye but would like to find matching. Most 60s era should be same. Please help.

Don't overlook places with old fiberglass boats. Much of the hardware used by Cruisers et.al. was generic off the shelf type material.

Any of you guys from the home of Cruisers Inc. Wisconsin, know of any old local boat dealer / repair shops that might help me with bow ring? I am getting close to launch date on this boat and am getting desperate.
I am almost finished sanding and prepping hull for final paint and awaiting chrome parts back from plating shop.
Please help!

Dan,

I asked my friend in MI to check with his buddy who stockpiles old boat parts. I will let you know.

I also went by my motor guy and sure enough, the old Cruisers was gone. I hope someone is restoring it rather than sending in to landfill.
