I'm renovating a 1959 Sea Lancer and want to know what the potential leak sources are on that boat. I assume one of the biggies is along the keel where the bottom pieces meet. How bout the laps themselves. They look very solid to me. And the joint where the bottom meets the bottom of the transom? Also, is the keel screwed on or are there some through bolts somewhere? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Get a garden hose and spray some water into the boat. Spray all over the place and watch to see if and where it comes out. Spray the sides of the planking.
Get the bow up and keep the drain plug open so the water can drain out. You do not want to fill the hull with water - it could cause major damage.
The outer keel is screwed into the planking and keelson. There will be two carriage bolts at the junction of the keel and outer stem.
