Here's a little HOG in a boat. This photo shows how a poor trailer set-up will destroy a boat! Note the droop in the stern. This is caused by NO support under the transom. See the bunks on the trailer - they end about 12 to 16 inches short of the transom. BAD BAD BAD
She's restorable tho!

Andreas,
To paraphrase (and I wish I could do this in spider-web); some hog.
Seriously, in a case like this do you just lay-in a completely new white oak keel? If you were to do that, would you beef-up/strengthen it from how they came out of the factory?
I hope you have been able to get on the lakes.

Becasue the motor was on the transom and the transom was not properly supported, there are MANY problems with this boat.
It will need an entirely new transom, keelson, and probably new stringers. I am sure the garboard planks will need replacement.
I may beef up the keelson.
I have been on the watetr only twice this season. It has been very chilly. Ice is out, but it hasn't been long gone! Supposed to be up to 80 F degrees on Sunday. I have my fingers crossed.
